Edison Next Teleriscaldamento will carry out inspections and on-site visits to verify the technical feasibility of the connection and independently evaluate its viability. On this basis and without prejudice to connection obligations established by special local regulations, it will assess its interest in connecting the user, also in consideration of cost-effectiveness and profitability considerations both for the supplier and the potential Customer.
The following works are required to be able to serve the Customer:
- digging on the land owned by the condominium;
- laying of flow and return pipes;
- burying the pipes and resurfacing;
- disposal of existing heat generators if required;
- supply and installation of the district heating substation.
The Customer must provide the Supplier, free of charge, with the space to install the new heat exchange substation.
If the laying of pipes or the installation of equipment affects individual properties, the Supplier shall be responsible for obtaining authorisations and anything else needed to establish easements in its own favour or in favour of the Customer.
If, on the other hand, the laying of pipes or the installation of equipment affects public property, the Supplier shall be responsible for authorisations, charges and anything else needed to establish easements in favour of the Supplier.
If authorisations or easements as specified above are required, the effectiveness of this Contract is conditional on the issue of such authorisations.
Connection and installation work undertaken by the Supplier must be performed in a workmanlike manner in compliance with current legislation. If serious technical difficulties arise during connection operations, the Supplier has the right to walk away from the connection and to withdraw from this Contract, without the possibility of any claim being raised against the Supplier for indemnity or compensation.
The following works are excluded:
- refurbishment of the heating plant’s electrical system;
- modification or repair work on the Customer’s systems;
- replacement of circulation pumps if required;
- any regulatory adjustments needed.
The Customer will be duly informed about the time required to begin the supply or about any delays and their causes.
Connection work may be performed directly by the Supplier or with the support of outside contractors.
The net cost of the connection charged to the Customer is calculated on the basis of the aforementioned activities and the contribution requested may never exceed the costs incurred by the Supplier.
In the case of withdrawal, the Supplier reserves the right to apply, where applicable, the safeguard fee as established by Resolution 463/2021/R/tlr.
The Customer has the right to withdraw from the Contract at any time, including before the expiry date, with a notice period of one month. The Customer exercises this right by submitting a request to the Supplier to terminate the supply or by submitting a request for disconnection from the network.
The Customer may exercise the right of withdrawal (termination of the supply or disconnection from the network) by sending the appropriate form available at https://www.edisonnext.it/normativa-di-settore/ by:
- email to the address info.teleriscaldamento@edison.it
- certified email to the address teleriscaldamento@pec.edison.it
- registered letter to office address Via della Magnina, 1 12100 Cuneo (CN).
The activities required to terminate the supply, carried out by the Supplier, are as follows:
a) closing and sealing the substation shut-off valves;
b) taking the termination reading;
c) issue of the contract termination invoice, based on the reading referred to under letter b) above.
The activities carried out by the Supplier in the event of disconnection from the network are as follows:
a) closing and sealing the substation shut-off valves
b) taking the termination reading
c) issue of the contract termination invoice, based on the reading referred to under letter b) above
d) removal of the measurement unit and other substation components if they are the property of the Supplier
e) cutting off the power supply to electrical equipment forming part of the connection system
f) cutting off the hydraulic connection circuit upstream of the Customer’s private property, if said circuit is not required by other users.
In the case of withdrawal, the Supplier reserves the right to apply, where applicable, the safeguard fee as established by Resolution 463/2021/R/tlr.
